- Onsight -- I'm interested in ultra-realistic military flight sims, particularly Falcon4. Back in the day I was an active member of the FreeBirds Virtual Fighter Wing (http://www.freebirdswing.org/), and enjoyed learning from and contributing to a community of dedicated and skilled virtual pilots. These days I'm mainly focused on developing CSP. I believe that open-source is the future of this genre, and am glad to be a part of a project pursuing that goal. My ICQ number is 148745724 (please mention CSP).
- Boddman -- I became interested in military flight sims way back when Falcon 3.0 came out. At the time I was training to become a computer technician in the US Navy. After my training I was station on an aircraft carrier for 2 years. Being around such fantastic fighters such as the F-14 and F-18 all the time, I have always been intrigued with the thought of flying one of those bad boys. Falcon 4.0 was the first sim to realistically capture what combat in a modern fighter would be like. Upon the disbandment of the Falcon4 team, I became intrigued by the idea of building an opensource combat simulation. Before CSP there was another startup project that I was involved in, but it to soon disbanded. During the colapse of the other project, I came across Brandon Bahn, and while he is no longer with CSP, it was his demo that spawned CSP. Since that time I've done what I can to support the project by creating web pages, server hosting, and other duties. Programing languages Perl, PHP, HTML, and VB. Sorry no C++ knowledge. My ICQ number is 92155086 and please mention CSP.
- Herkules -- I'm a software developer and professionally worked on a flightsim game earlier (which never got published though). I speak C++ and Java fluently and have a good understanding of 3D and distributed simulation. My ICQ number is 1266862 and please mention CSP.
- ejames -- My interests are mainly on the flight modelling side, although I'd like to get into some of the graphics stuff. I know Java (including servlets), Javascript, HTML (lots of DHTML knowledge), tcl, tk, C, C++ and SQL (postgresql & informix). My day job is developing online gambling and betting solutions. I have a Physics Degree and spent 3 years as a postgrad studying the computer simulation of polymers. I'd like to use the techniques I used there to tackle the flight modelling. I'm currently working on writing some code to do very accurate and fast rigid body dynamics. My ICQ number is 7461782 and please mention CSP
- Angel 1-1 -- I'm a computer science student. I know Java (J2SE mainly), a wee bit Python and I'm getting into C++. CSP is an interest of mine, 1) because I love military aviation, 2) I love programming, 3) I love tinkering with things. Right now I'm using CSP as a turtle programming thing for C++. This way I hope to add just a little to CSP or at least have some fun :).
- Saber45h -- My main interests are on the scenery such as Airports, bases, vehicles. I am also interested in aircraft development and beta testing other aircraft. I am familiar with Java, C++, SQL, and LightWave. I currently work as a Project Manager / Analyst overseeing the migration of an AF Data System and the development of a Multi-Service Interface Agent (MSIA) in support of CV-22 (Osprey).
- Brandon -- I've been interested in a project like CSP since Gilman Louie (of Falcon4) talked about overseeing an open source project in his freetime. There were initial discussions with Mr. Louie on Combatsim.com. Not too long after, Combatsim.com started charging to access their forum, and Gilman and all the other people who were partipating scattered. I decided to just start programming, and made a quick and dirty flight sim demo. It sparked some interest. Boddman and a few others decided to jump on board and did all kinds of great work on researching services like sourceforge and designing webpages. CSP is what we have today. ICQ = 26137506
- VI -- In another lifetime a long time ago I used to play flight sims, so discovering FlightGear and CSP was a pleasant surprise. I use Debian GNU/Linux, so I'm packaging CSP for Debian. Time will tell what other skills and roles I might pick up around here
- schuetze -- AKA "saceur" :) Better late then never. I have been aquainted shortly with some of the gent's above back in the summer of 2000, when Gilman announced he would support an open source sim. But regretfully I stayed with F4UT. And while I was developing the Baltic Theater I finally realized how stupid I have been. I was once very fluent in c/c++, that will reemerge I hope. I'm medical doctor working in the field of psychiatry, where I have done a lot of work with SPSS. I have done a lot of homepages for others and myself. I'm flying in a virtual airforce The Virtual Royal Danish Air Force (http://vrdaf.org/). Collecting pieces for a F16 pit and a Gripen pit. I speak danish, german, english, php, SQL, C/C++, VB. Can 3D model (MAX). One of my favorite hobbies is documenting and illustrating and GIS (http://www.freegis.org/). :) Documenting is very likely the first thing I will throw myself at with respect to CSP - one learns rather quickly what is all about. MSN : vshape@hotmail.com. Beeing one of the late arrivers I have started a log describing my catching up with the others. It is located at VRDAF CSP Auxillary pages (http://csp.vrdaf.org/).
- tbrusa_1st -- I want to contribute with CSP because I'm a military flightsim enthusiast. I already flied a lot of flightsims: FS, F22 Lightning, Super EF2000, Falcon 4 etc. I know C++, VB, PC hardware programming (if needed), a little on OpenGL, DirectX and graphics. ICQ = 173577311.
- granx -- I would like to contribute to CSP's flight dynamics, especially in landing situations, and terrain visualization. I am well schooled in C++ and I have much knowledge of Open Scene Graph. My AOL screen is 'cyrphur'.
- Rear Admiral -- ICQ# 327-828-124 I've been following CSP for a few months now and am very interested in the project. I really enjoy playing Falcon 4.0, Operation Flashpoint, Battlefield 1942, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I will probably just put up some ideahs that I'd like to see and maybe try and make a newbies guide to building CSP from source.
- Adonis -- MSN: NSAdonis@msn.com I am Adonis, I mod Games for over a year now (models and textures), and I am a combat flight sim fan for 10 years. I can help in models, textures, and I know quite enough of military tech.
- Baptiste, who learned to flight with GSC Hornet 2 and to fight with Out of the Sun (well, a Mac addict...). Not really familiar with technical and code operations, and beginning with 3D modelling on Wings 3D and Blender.
- Mase -- I am very interested in military aircraft, especially the F-16. I was playing Falcon 4 with Superpak up and down. I was a member of 75th VFS, we were playing Falcon over the internet, until I ran out of time, and later I left Windows completely, staying on Linux. I will try to support Onsight programming the missing parts of the avionics of the F-16, which, I think, can be simply ported to other aircraft, too. I am a great beginner in C++, but I think, I can handle this.
- Blackhex -- I'm student of Information Technology with interest in computer graphics, GIS and especially algorithms for terrain visualization. I program mainly in C++ and Python but only on Linux and only for Linux. I'm developing library SoTerrain (http://blackhex.no-ip.org) for terrain vizualization for Coin (http://coin3d.org) implementation of OpenInventor. I hope that I'll be working on new GRASS (http://grass.itc.it/) GIS architecure which is planned. I know Blender, but I'm not working with it much. I'll be watching this project and if I'll find some free time I'll try to contribute a little. ICQ: 207-177-814
- Jolly -- C++ and OpenGL newbie. I'm glad that I found other people who enjoy the same things as I. Coding and military aviation. I will keep an eye on your project, maybe I can help somehow, who knows? Right now, I want to create my own little flight sim. If things look up, then our projects could be competing. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
- HB Ong(a.k.a) Airwinx -- I have been flying flightsim since 1997 from ATP Transport pilot, B747-400 PS1.3, FS95 - FS2004, Falcon4 and now OF 4.5. I always have a dream to develop my own flightsim. But i now it is difficult. After I came across CSP that I think this is a great platform for me to contribute since I can't contribute on commercial product. I work in Eurocopter as an Application Developer mainly design and develop online solution application for my company. I am into PHP, HTML, MySql and a little knowledge on C and mainly in window based. I hope I can learn from the expert here and I very keen to learn everthing about simulation. I hope I can contribute something to this great and passion community on Combat Sim.
